PT Witteveen Bos Indonesia is looking for an experienced junior geotechnical engineer for our office in Jakarta who is up to date with state-of-the-art geotechnics.
Job description
Your geotechnical input is required for land reclamations, port development, coastal and river protection, construction works and slope stability studies. You will be stationed in our office in Jakarta. Field visits throughout Indonesia will be part of your work.

You will experience working in an international setting in which English is the main language and able to work together with multi national experts with various expertise. Most of your work will be done in integrated project teams consisting of geotechnical, coastal, water management, energy & environmental and structural engineers.
What we ask for
- Have minimally 3-5 years of relevant work experience, candidates with less experience will not be considered.
- Master Degree from a major (international) university in civil engineering with a specialization in geotechnical engineering is an advantage
- Are fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia, both written and spoken
- Preferably, experienced in using a Finite Element Model (FEM) Plaxis software
- Willing to be assigned at a project site in remote area for short or long duration
- Excellent advisor with good communication skills and collegial attitude towards work
- Familiar with basic earthquake engineering/seismic is an advantage
- are proficient in working digitally is an advantage (e.g. QGIS, programming in Python or similar)
